Seton Hall University selected 1157 to recognize Gerald Buccino —

Gerald P. Buccino was a 1963 graduate of Seton Hall University and is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Buccino & Associates, Inc. Mr. Buccino looked back at his years at Seton Hall and expressed his gratefulness for the outstanding education he received. Despite his busy schedule, he has found time to give back to his alma mater in many ways by establishing an endowed scholarship benefitting more than twenty students in the past years. He has also made a $1 million gift commitment to expand the reach of the Leadership Development Honors Program at the Stillman School of Business.

The Gerald P. Buccino Center for Leadership Development provides extensive one-on-one networking opportunities with key business opportunities. It also provides hands-on professional development for the leadership students to complement their academic learning and offers students the opportunity to have interactions with national and international business leaders.

Michael P. Reuter, Director of The Gerald P. Buccino Center for Leadership Development wanted the recognition for Mr. Buccino to be a creative testimony to his dedication to the university for almost fifty years but would also inspire, motivate and challenge students and alums alike.

Sasha Deieso, Director of Donor Relations was responsible to complete the honorable recognition for Mr. Buccino. She chose 1157 designconcepts of Sidney, Ohio to develop creative ideas for consideration. Ms. Deieso had additional concerns surrounding this important project – timing and budgetary. Having completed previous projects with 1157 designconcepts, Ms. Deieso felt confident that all could be accomplished with 1157 designconcepts’ guidance.

Dave McClatchey, Regional Sales Manager for 1157 designconcepts worked closely with Ms. Deieso to assure that the successful completion for the October dedication of the Center for Leadership Development. The planning began in August with creative designs. The construction and delivery were on a tight timeline but everything stayed on schedule. The comments from all on dedication day were “beautiful, great job, we love it!”

In summary, Seton Hall thanked 1157 for providing high quality materials, superior craftsmanship and on time delivery in meeting the tight constraints with the Buccino recognition wall. From the first meeting, both parties knew that this presentation would be designed to last many years, communicating this leadership message to all Seton Hall students and alumni. 1157 thanks Ms. Deieso and Mr. Reuter for their confidence and assistance in providing the proper recognition to Mr. Buccino for his generosity and dedication.
